Into the Desert
When I was a kid, I longed for a burnt orange-colored bike. Alas, bikes weren’t made in that color back then. Today, cars are. A burnt orange Dodge almost makes up for the nonexistent bike.
The Challenger brought us from Phoenix to Scottsdale with lots of help from the GPS. Almost too tired to eat last night, after a day of travel that began at 3am (woke ridiculously early), but I gave the pork adobo quesadillas my best shot. The terrain is stunning: mountain ridges, rock piles, cactus, and scrub. Like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
Blogging remotely and without my trusty desktop is not as smooth as I’d like. Photos must come to you in separate posts, but I’m hopeful you won’t mind.
Oh, I miss New Mexico! We’ve done several loops around the state and I just loved the landscape, so different from New England. Thanks for sharing photos. I think we need to go back soon to get another SW fix.
Pam, we are loving it too. Out today with my friends to explore Taos and the loop just north of here.
