Submitted plays are judged by an independent panel of theater professionals in blind readings. This year’s panel consisted of seven members of the theatrical community.

THE PLAYERS’ RING THEATRE, Portsmouth, NH
A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams
In Tennessee Williams’ landmark play, the action centers around the culture clash between traditional, ‘civilized’ society represented by the beautiful but fading Southern Belle Blanche DuBois and her sister’s husband, Stanley Kowalski, a primal, brutish force of nature. Brought to the Players’ Ring by the artistic team that produced ‘Of Mice and Men’ last January, Streetcar runs through January 23rd.
